Please read this before making a post in any subcategory of "Creepypasta & Stories".
Pasta Archives are for stories and content that were made by someone else. They must be submitted to either myself (Izaya Grim ) or a staff member for review. Stories that are not dark or macabre belong in Story Archive, and stories with less than 500 words belong in Mini Archive.
Macabre Stories are for stories and content that were made by you. Both staff and other members may post here.
Stories that are not dark or macabre belong in Common Stories, and stories with less than 500 words belong in Grim Elementary.
General Posting Guidelines
I. Please post in the correct category.
II. Posts should be formatted in a way that doesn't make it difficult to read.
III. A post may not contain less than ten words period. (The last sentence was ten words, for comparison.)
IV. Staff members may lock, move, or delete posts for any reason.
V. Do not post distressing material (content that may trigger epilepsy / black and white 'moving' illusions).
VI. I highly recommend you use the search and bookmark features to find a story you're looking for/like.
Posting Stories/Content
When making a post that contains a story, the title (or subject line) should contain the full name of the story, along with one of the following tag/flair/flag if one is needed:
[TR-R] | Trigger Warning; Rape |
[TR-S] | Trigger Warning; Self harm/Suicide/Slurs |
[TR-G] | Trigger Warning; Gore/Blood |
[TR-A] | Trigger Warning; Abuse/Assault |
[TR-O] | Trigger Warning; Possibly Offensive |
Using the placeholder title "The Jane Doe Stalker" and the flair TR-A as an example, your post's title should look like any of these:
The Jane Doe Stalker [TR-A], The Jane Doe Stalker, [TR-A] The Jane Doe Stalker.
After placing the body of your content/story, at the very top of the post, there should be a credit that tells the reader who the author is, when the story was written, and where they can find more of their work/where you got the story from. You may add additional information such as an author's note here if you'd like (if the author is you), but it isn't mandatory.
I cannot accept any story, regardless on what it is, if there's no proper credit.
Example:
Written by: Izaya GM (Website; 'Story name + linkback')
Lastly, it's strongly advised you use a site that checks the word count of a story to give readers both an approximate word count and the average amount of time it would take to read it (by using this site here). Both of these things, if you decide to include them, should be at the top of the page below the credit, followed by a line/page break ().
Posting in the Power Scale Area
The Power Scale category is made of two areas: one that houses the scales/listings as well as information on how they work, and the Challenge Area that is there to house the discussions about the scale itself. Members are only allowed to post in the Challenge Area, any posts made by non-staff members in the Power Scale will be deleted.
When posting in the Challenge Area, please keep conversations civil. Because of the nature of debates in general, this area will be looked over more so than any other area of the website.
If a placing or something else in the Power Scale area is challenged, after the conversation settles a poll will be put up to see if the scale needs adjustment or editing.
If no poll is put up in a timely manner, please ping/@ a staff member or myself.
